On 5–6 February 2026, the BEAGLE consortium gathered in Pilsen, Czech Republic, hosted by the University of West Bohemia. As we enter the final year of the project, the meeting was a key opportunity to review our progress, assess our work across various packages, and sharpen our focus on the next steps.
A central topic was the ongoing development of the 10 Blue Oceans (market niches) and 20 innovation proposals that BEAGLE aims to deliver. Partners came together to share insights, refine strategies, and ensure the project’s outcomes remain on track.
Industry and Academia in Focus
The first day was spent at Pilsner Urquell Brewery, a perfect example of how tradition meets innovation. The brewery blends centuries-old practices with modern technologies—paralleling BEAGLE’s approach of connecting innovative research with established industries to uncover new opportunities.
The second day at the University of West Bohemia reinforced the academic side of our project, showcasing how BEAGLE fosters collaboration between research institutions and industry to explore new market niches and drive impactful innovation.
Strategising for BEAGLE’s Final Year Milestones
Through discussions on key work packages, partners refined their strategies for the final phase of the project. These conversations highlighted the importance of continued academic-industrial collaboration, a core element of BEAGLE, to create lasting value and disruptive innovation.
As we move forward, the momentum from this meeting will guide us toward achieving BEAGLE’s ambitious goals, unlocking new market opportunities, and ensuring the project’s successful conclusion.
