Pint of Science 2025: BEAGLE Project Connects with Public

Pint of Science 2025, the popular science outreach festival that brings research to the relaxed setting of bars, took place on May 19, 20, and 21 in Reus and Tarragona. This year’s event provided a unique platform for knowledge exchange, connecting the research community with the general public.

Over three days, approximately forty researchers from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and various local research institutions shared their expertise across diverse scientific disciplines. Cafè Teatre and As de Copes in Reus, along with Sala Zero and Old Dirty Burgers in Tarragona, served as informal venues for these engaging discussions.

The BEAGLE project was a featured presentation, with coordinator Xiaoni Li leading an insightful dialogue with the audience. The presentation explored how blue ocean strategy can enhance knowledge transfer outcomes and promote sustainable development through active EU citizen participation.

This multi-stakeholder event, simultaneously held in numerous Spanish cities, exemplified the power of citizen involvement in understanding and shaping research initiatives like the BEAGLE project.
