BEAGLE Marketplace

Welcome to the BEAGLE marketplace, a dynamic space where industry and academia connect to drive innovation!

What is the mission of BEAGLE Marketplace?

We connect academia and industry to drive innovation. By applying Blue Ocean Strategy, BEAGLE creates unique opportunities for researchers and businesses to collaborate. Through co-creation, we turn groundbreaking research into real-world solutions

What is the Blue Ocean Strategy and why is its innovative approach key to unlocking new markets and business opportunities?

Blue Ocean Strategy pursues differentiation and low cost simultaneously to create new market space and unlock new demand. It centers on establishing uncontested market space – blue oceans – where competition becomes irrelevant, rather than battling rivals in existing markets.

BEAGLE's 3-Phased Methodology and
Innovation funnel

Phase 1

Discover Opportunities: capturing industrial
innovation demands.

Phase 2

Co-Create Knowledge Valorisation: realizing alignment between
academic resources (innovation supply) and industrial demands.

Phase 3

Consolidate Knowledge Valorisation: consolidating knowledge valorisation
and formulating implementable A-I cooperation action plans.

This 3-Phased methodology operates through an Innovation Funnel approach that systematically channels participants from open call recruitment to implementation. The funnel progressively filters 120 industry demand, and 120 academic innovation supply offers into 60 Video-Factsheets on each side, then facilitates A-I matching to create 40 strategic connections, finally advancing to 20 action plans.

Curious About the BEAGLE Workshops with Open Calls Participants?

Get insights from our workshops developed in collaboration with Open Call participants

BEAGLE conducted two workshops to connect industry innovation demands (OC#1) with academic research offerings (OC#2) across Europe.

The first workshop brought together industry innovators in breakout sessions using system innovation tools to map business innovation expectations and opportunities, resulting in 60 demand video-factsheets showcasing untapped market needs.

The second workshop engaged academic researchers to develop innovation proposals that address these demands, currently producing 60 offer video-factsheets presenting research capabilities and solutions.

These workshops serve as the discovery and co-creation phases of BEAGLE’s methodology, where Mixed Teams of university technology transfer advisors and cluster managers facilitate collaboration between geographically and sectorally distant partners.

The ultimate goal is to generate 40 academia-industry connections that will develop into 20 Action Plans for EU funding applications, creating new value chains in previously unexplored market niches.
