In June, our partners participated in the IPDMC 2025 conference in Porto, a leading event focused on business dynamics, innovation, and economic change.
At the conference, they presented their paper titled: “Understanding BOS in A-I Knowledge Valorization”.
The study aims to understand how Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) principles can be applied to enhance knowledge valorisation processes in academia–industry collaboration within the European Research Area. Also known as Industry–University Collaboration, AIC refers to a strategic approach where academic institutions and industry entities jointly work to drive innovation, productivity, and technological advancement through shared expertise, resources, and knowledge.
From a business perspective, such collaborations offer companies:
Access to advanced technology and specialised knowledge
Opportunities to use costly research infrastructure that would otherwise be unattainable
Engagement with highly qualified human resources, such as researchers or students
These factors significantly boost companies’ capabilities to develop new products, improve manufacturing processes, increase logistical efficiency, and generate patentable innovations.
